"The art of insects" (فن الحشرات) is a short indie graduation film by Mena Saeed and Basem Taha, from the High Institute of Cinema of Cairo.
The film follows a crime boss (The Spider) as he starts to lose trust in everyone around him after someone murders his right-hand man (The Mosquito). The poster's concept reflects the state of loss and declines The Spider lives, his constant state of drunkness, the blood-stained life, and the world he built crumbling around him.
The poster also follows the visual style of the film that uses only two colors; black shadows and outlines of the characters, and a yellowish background that adds to the sense of surrealism.
